Park Hyo-shin to release 7th LP on Oct. 3
SEOUL, Sept. 20 (Yonhap) — Ballad singer Park Hyo-shin will release his first full-length album in six years on Oct. 3, record distributors said Tuesday.
Park, who recently left Jellyfish Entertainment to partner with Glove Entertainment, has been putting the final touches on his seventh studio album, they said.
The release date of the highly anticipated album has drawn media attention after he only unveiled a rough plan for the release.
“His reputation as a strong vocalist will make his return one of the hottest comebacks this autumn. There are high chances of a steady domination of the music charts,” an official with one of the album’s distributors told Yonhap News Agency by phone.
Along with new songs, the track list will include three previous singles.
During the six-year hiatus, Park refrained from appearing on TV, which has caused public curiosity surrounding the album to build. Some other entertainment agencies have hinted at rescheduling releases so as to avoid falling into the shadow of Park’s spotlight once the album drops.
Park’s previous singles “Wild Flower” (2014), “HAPPY TOGETHER” (2014) and “Shine Your Light” all topped the music charts, with “Wild Flower” maintaining its place within the ranks for over two years without any promotional activities on TV.
He is scheduled to perform tracks from the new album for the first time at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, southeastern Seoul, on Oct. 8, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 16, with all 55,000 tickets selling out within just 12 minutes.
