86-year-old pedestrian killed by car in Koreatown identified

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Authorities today released the name of an 86-year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Koreatown.
Mi Duck Kong of Los Angeles died at the scene of the collision, which occurred about 9:25 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of South Manhattan Place, said coroner’s Chief Craig Harvey.
The driver remained at the scene and was questioned by investigators, who determined that the woman was crossing outside the crosswalk, and that “no crime was associated with this incident,” said Los Angeles police Officer
