93-year-old man goes missing while picking ferns
April 29, 2014
A search mission has been launched to find a 93-year-old man who went missing after going near a highway to pick ferns.
According to the sheriff’s office in Thurston, Wash., Lee Bo-han lives in Federal Way and had gone to pick ferns on Old Pacific Highway between Reservation Road and Thomsen Road on Saturday.
He was with two other people but got separated.
Lee’s family said they saw him last at around 10:45 a.m. and called in to the sheriff’s office at around 11 a.m. to report him missing.
Sheriffs joined about 40 search-and-rescue volunteers, dog teams and a helicopter on the search for Lee on Saturday but did not find him.
The search continued Sunday with 70 people and seven dog teams, but Lee remains missing.
