EXO’s ‘Overdose’ most-viewed K-pop video last month: Billboard
June 9, 2014
(Yonhap) — South Korean boy band EXO’s new music video was the most-viewed K-pop music video on YouTube during last month, the U.S. Billboard magazine said Monday.
The Korean and Chinese language versions of EXO’s “Overdose” were ranked No. 1 and No. 2 on the list of the 10 most-viewed K-pop music videos in the world for May, the magazine said.
“Overdose” is the title track of the band’s second mini-album by the same name that was released in April. Uploaded on May 7 on the Internet, the song’s Korean and Chinese-language videos have attracted 22.5 million views in a month.
The album’s Korean version later entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 129, making it the highest-charting male Korean act.
