Japan’s porn makers recruit at prestigious university
Four largest adult filmmakers jointly hold a job fair at Waseda University
Is the Japanese porn industry looking for its own Belle Knox?
According to Japanese online news site EN NEWS 163, the country’s four largest adult filmmakers jointly held a job fair at Tokyo’s prestigious Waseda University.
About 200 students, 20 percent of them women, visited the booths, the website reported.
The companies seemed to be making an extra effort to recruit women, with female staff telling students that working conditions were actually better for women than at other Japanese companies.
One woman, who has worked for a filmmaker for eight years, said, “The biggest benefit is that there is no sexual harassment, so women can work at ease.
“While there is more to the business than just filming, you are also free to participate as an actress, which could provide the opportunity to become a star.”
