A 25-year-old man was arrested Saturday for reportedly killing a bicyclist in Pomona.
Rick Kyujin Lee, a Chino Hills resident, is being held in police custody for allegedly drinking under the influence of alcohol, reported CBS LA.
Lee was driving his 2011 BMW northbound on Garey Avenue around 2:30 a.m. when he struck a bicyclist, Pomona police said. The unidentified bicyclist was treated by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics at the scene but later died at the hospital.
According to police, Lee was tested positive for alcohol at the scene and arrested on suspicion of DUI causing death and vehicular manslaughter.
Lee, whose court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, inmate records showed.
