16-year-old Chinese exchange student drowns in host family’s pool in Anaheim

ANAHEIM (CNS) – A 16-year-old foreign exchange student from China drowned tonight in the swimming pool of the Anaheim family hosting him.
The student was found in the pool in the 800 block of West North Street around 8:45 p.m., Anaheim Police Department Lt. Bob Dunn said.
The student was pronounced dead at a hospital, Dunn said.
The student had been with the family for a short time and was swimming in the pool by himself, Dunn said.
Foul play was not suspected, Dunn said.
