[NYT] A Series Draws to a Close, and Innocence May Soon Follow

[THE NEW YORK TIMES] SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — I felt a twinge of sadness Sunday as Chicago’s last-gasp rally fell short and South Korea’s players celebratedtheir Little League World Series victory by piling on one another at the pitcher’s mound.
The sadness was not for Chicago, which had a great run. South Korea was the better team.
Rather, the end of the Series signifies the finals days of summer and, more than that, the final season of innocence for these 12- and 13-year-old players who, in all likelihood, will never pass this way again. [READ MORE]
