Infinite tops Billboard’s Twitter Emerging Artists chart
(Yonhap) — South Korean boy group Infinite topped Billboard’s chart for emerging artists on Twitter for its hit single “Last Romeo,” the American music site has said.
Released in late May, “Last Romeo” rose to the top of the Billboard Twitter Emerging Artists chart on Thursday, becoming the first Korean song to do so.
The chart ranks the “most shared songs on Twitter in the U.S. by up and coming artists,” according to Billboard.com.
“The conversations kicked off on Sept. 3 when Infinite revealed a ‘dance practice’ video of their single to spotlight its choreography. Fans kept the conversation so high about ‘Last Romeo,’ that it was able to rank within both of the weekly Billboard Twitter charts,” the website said in a related article.
