Whittier Narrows Tennis Center was abuzz this weekend with 210 participating in the first Korea Times U.S. Korean Tennis Tournament.

Hosted by The Korea times and supervised by the Korean Tennis Federation of Sport in America, the tournament held 10 categories in 18 events with a total of 13 teams.

“We thank those who supported the Korean American community’s first national tennis tournament,” said Kim In-gon, KTFS president. “The event was planned for families to come out and enjoy tennis while picnicking. We’re hoping to see the tournament gain interest from non-Koreans and become the largest sports event for the Korean American community as the years pass.”

Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine sponsored the event.
