Korea Day at LACMA draws crowd as Korean exhibition ends
September 29, 2014
Korea Day at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Saturday wrapped up the three-month exhibition “Treasures From Korea: Arts and Culture of the Joseon Dynasty.”
A lecture by Academy of Korean studies professor Lee Song-mi, a performance by the Ahn Sook-sun ensemble, a Korean tea ceremony and brushing painting and the community bojagi unveiling filled the day.
The exhibition, which ended Sunday, will go on to show at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston in January.
