World No. 1 Park Inbee captures 3rd LPGA win of year in Taiwan
November 2, 2014
SEOUL (Yonhap) — South Korean Park Inbee, the world’s No. 1-ranked female golfer, captured her third LPGA Tour win of the year in Taiwan on Sunday.
Park claimed the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship with a four-round total of 22-under 266, two strokes better than Stacy Lewis.
Park shot a one-under 71 on Sunday at Miramar Golf Country Club in Taipei, while Lewis put together a final round of three-under 69, not enough to overtake the South Korean.
Park supplanted Lewis as the No. 1 female golfer last week. Lewis had been at the top for the previous 21 weeks.
Lydia Ko, the world No. 3, finished alone in third at 17-under.
Park now has 12 wins in her LPGA career, nine of which have come since the start of the 2013 season.
