Park Chan-wook to direct second Hollywood film
November 14, 2014
South Korean director Park Chan-wook will direct and develop his second Hollywood film, a sci-fi thriller titled “Second Born,” for Rumble Films, Variety reported Thursday.
David Jagernauth wrote the original screenplay for the film, in which futuristic neural microchip implants enable body swapping in the black market, Variety said.
Park’s producing partner, Wonjo Jeong, will help produce.
Park has been responsible for a string of hit films in Korea following his success with “Oldboy,” including “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance,” “I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK” and “Thirst.” His last hollywood film, “Stoker,” was released last year.
