Inny Kim named 2015 Ms. USA Woman of Achievement
Inny Kim, the 36-year-old owner of college consulting company IvyEGG, is the 2015 Ms. USA Woman of Achievement.
Kim, a Yorba Linda resident, was awarded one of this year’s crowns aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach on Nov. 9.
The contest started in 2006 for women who are leaders in “community platforms, education and/or visual or performing arts,” according to its website.
Kim, who has been working in the education sector for 14 years, entered Amherst College at age 16 and graduated from Harvard University’s graduate school of education before working as a college admissions officer at institutions like Princeton Review Korea, Yale University and Amherst.
She said she entered the pageant, which had 48 candidates this year, to build her professional network.
Kim is currently pregnant with her second child and credited the win to her maintenance and balance of work and family.
Her goal is to create the best non-profit organization for education in America to help push the infinite potential of students, she said.
