S. Korea loses to Iran 1-0
November 18, 2014
South Korea lost to Iran 1-0 in its last football friendly of 2014 in Tehran on Tuesday, with the home side getting a late goal.
Substitute Sardar Azmoun was credited with the winner in the 82nd minute on a controversial goal line play, as Iran remained undefeated against South Korea at Azadi Stadium in its capital city.
The 19-year-old Rubin Kazan forward pounced at the chance to cash in after Javad Nekounam’s free-kick had hit both posts.
