[Telegraph] North Korea’s Air Koryo: My flight on the world’s worst airline
January 23, 2015
Air Koryo, the flag carrier of North Korea, has once again been named the world’s worst airline, being the only carrier to receive a one-star ranking.
Skytrax, a UK-based airline and airport consultancy, ranked 681 airlines from around the world in terms of their product and service quality.
Air Koryo fared appallingly in most areas. Of the 10 general ratings categories, the airline scored one star in no fewer than seven – including age of aircraft in fleet and ease of use of the website – while cabin safety standards crept up to a mere one-and-a-half stars.
Air Koryo got the best marks for staff grooming and presentation, where it scored three stars.
