Kim Gu-ra’s house put up for auction
Well, at least he can still joke about it. Popular Korean television emcee Kim Gu-ra revealed Wednesday that he has put his house up for auction, due to financial problems.
On his MBC talk show Radio Star, the 46-year-old comedian said he is inviting bidders to his home and jokingly encouraged his co-hosts to make a bid.
A spokesperson for Kim said last month that the comedian has been struggling to debts totaling some 1.8 billion won ($1.63 million), which were accrued by his wife. Kim has said that his son, also a television personality, is chipping into help the family out of debt.
“It’s not misfortune,” Kim said on the show. “There is actually some fun in wading through these stuffs.”
Kim briefly stopped making television appearances in December after being diagnosed with a panic disorder.
