South Koreans’ favorite song to sing
South Koreans’ favorite song to sing is Oh Seung-geun’s “What About My Age (내 나이가 어때서),” according to a recent free-answer poll by Gallup Korea, Yonhap reported.
According to the public opinion search company Wednesday, the poll was conducted in October last year and reflects the answers of 1,700 South Koreans over the age of 13.
The 2012 trot song, with 2 percent of responses, was followed by Park Sang-cheol’s “Unconditionally” (1.4 percent), No Sa-yeon’s “Meeting” (1.4), Jang Yoon-jung’s “Omona” (1.1) and Lee Mi-ja’s “Dongbaek Lady” (1).
The only K-pop tune to make the list was EXO’s “Growl,” which came in ninth with 0.7 percent.
Gallup Korea also conducted a poll on Koreans’ favorite domestic and foreign films.
Topping domestic movies was last year’s box office giant “Roaring Currents,” which recorded 17.6 million admissions. It took up 19 percent of all responses.
Second was “Miracle in Cell No. 7″ (6 percent), followed by “The Attorney” (5), “Gwanghae” (4) and “The Host” (3).
When it came to foreign pics, Jack and Rose ruled — “Titanic” came first with 6 percent of responses.
It was followed by “Avatar” (5 percent), “Begin Again” (4), “Ben-Hur” (3), “Lord of the Rings” (3) and “Gone With the Wind” (2).
