Actor Kim Sung-min arrested on probation for drug use
March 11, 2015
South Korean actor Kim Sung-min, 42, was arrested on drug charges for the second time in four years, local media reported.
Kim was arrested in 2010 for Philopon smuggling and usage and was on probation.
Kyeonggi police said they arrested five people suspected of drug use Wednesday, among them Kim.
Police said they suspect him of having injected Philopon 16 times through a needle based on the amount purchased. Kim admitted to police he had injected once.
His lawyer said Kim may face two to three years in prison for violating the law during probation.
