Refsnyder goes 2-for-2 in Yankees loss, Conger snaps hitting slump

New York Yankees rookie second baseman Robert Refsnyder went 2-for-2 Monday in a 7-6 loss to the Washington Nationals. His performance boosted his average to .346 and included a double, two runs and a walk.

Although Stephen Drew is projected to start at second for the Yankees during the regular season, the 23-year old Korean adoptee is making sure that his name will be in the conversation when the time arrives.

Refsnyder also displayed his defensive ability in a 6-4-3 double play

Houston Astros catcher Hank Conger went 2-for-2 Sunday in a 14-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Conger has struggled offensively up until this point, but managed to drive in his first three runs of spring training.

The first occurred in the bottom of the second on a sacrifice fly and the remaining two were driven in during the bottom of the fifth after a double in which Conger scored himself after a throwing error.
