Block B fan club installs drinking well in Cambodia
A Cambodian city has a K-pop fan club to thank for the installation of a new drinking well.
Yonhap reported that the installation was funded by boy band Block B’s fan club for the boys’ fourth debut anniversary. It stands in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and is titled “Block B Well,” band agency Seven Seasons said Friday.
The well is located in a remote neighborhood about an hour’s drive from the main city.
“Block B may just be an unknown foreign singer to people there, but we did this with the hope that kids can drink clean water and associate good memories with Block B,” the fan club said.
Seven Seasons thanked fans for the effort.
The seven-member Block B debuted in 2011 and have seen success with hits like “HER” and “Jackpot.”
