Girls’ JEAN-eration!
Popular Korean Singing Group Wins Japan’s ‘The Best Jeanist’ Award
“Nobody wears jeans like Girls’ Generation (So Nyeo Shi Dae).”
A Japanese jeans association (www.bestjeanist.com) announced the popular Korean female singing group as the winner of ‘The Best International Jeanist Award’ during their 30th annual award show on Wednesday. They’ve been giving out this award since 1984 – largely based on fan votes – and their domestic winner was popular Japanese boy group Arashi member Masaki Aiba, 30, for the third straight year.
Girls’ Generation currently has a modeling contract with Japanese denim brand Samantha Tavasa Jeans. A line of nine different colored skinny jeans – for each member of Girls’ Generation – was released last month.
