Irvine Korean Cultural Festival coming Saturday
The 2015 Irvine Korean Cultural Festival will be held at 1 Civic Center Plaza Saturday at 10 a.m.
The sixth annual event was planned to give second-generation Korean Americans and non-Koreans a cultural experience.
Free bibimbap, a kimchi cooking demonstration, traditional Korean games, drawing, displayed works from noted Korean artists, taekwondo demonstrations, traditional dance performances and instruction on making hanji dolls will be among the festival’s offerings.
A K-pop cover dance contest, followed by a live concert by “Make It Pop” star Megan Lee, is also slated to take place. Acapella groups Forty4B and Coco Avenue will also perform.
