Kevin Na keeps knocking on the door, again tied for lead

Kevin Na keeps knocking on the door. He came firing out of the gates again Thursday with an opening round 6-under 64 at the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Fort Worth, Tex.

The score puts him in a tie for first at Colonial Country Club with Boo Weekley and Ryo Ishikawa.

Na was also tied for the lead just last week at the Players Championship (finished  6th) for two days, and was tied for sixth at the halfway mark of Masters (finished tied for 12th). Before that he started off tied for second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational (finished sixth).

The Korean American’s only mistake on this day came on the course’s final hole after he hit his fairway approach into a greenside bunker leading to a lone bogey.

Na had seven birdies thanks to his accurate shots into the green resulting in 14 greens in regulation.

“It was good,” he told PGATour.com. “I made a lot of putts, made a lot of par putts and that always keeps you in it.”
