Fans of ABC’s “Fresh Off The Boat” can rejoice after the studio announced the show would be picked up for nine more episodes during its second season run.
That pushes the total from 13 to 22 episodes for the sitcom.
The move makes sense.
Even though critics worried early on that the show would have trouble resonating with the masses because it revolves around an Asian American family, “Fresh Off The Boat” has steadily grown its audience.
The season two premiere brought in over 6 million viewers, which was a notable increase over the season one finale numbers according to Nielsen Media Research. On top of that the show is receiving favorable reviews with a 90 percent approval rating on Rottentomatoes.com.
