‘Batman’ trilogy producer to bring K-drama to US

“Hallyu” is making its way into Hollywood thanks to producer Michael Uslan, who’s most notable work includes the most recent “Batman” trilogy, which brought in billions of dollars for Warner Bros. studios.

His next project will take its inspiration from overseas. More specifically, a 2005 Korean drama called “Resurrection.”

Uslan’s plans include taking the show’s story and repurposing it into something geared towards American audiences according to Variety.

The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) agreed to partner with the producer for the project.

The show had some trouble bringing in viewers in its debut, but by the time the season neared the end of its 16-episode run, its ratings climbed to the fourth most-watched show in South Korea according to TNS Media research group.

No casting announcements have been made, which probably means production is still in its very early stages.

Yu Gang-Hyuk was only 7 years old when his father was murdered in a car “accident” and separated from his identical twin, Yu Shin-Hyuk. He forgot his name and family and was given the name Suh Ha-Eun by his adopted father Suh Jae-soo. He falls in love with his adopted sister, Eun-ha and tried to be very honorable about it. He was led to become a cop because of his father’s badge. While investigating an alleged case of suicide, he eventually learns of his twin brother.
