CA dominates list of most expensive US housing: Forbes
By Brian Han
With high taxes and some of the most expensive housing prices in all of the U.S., California continues its evolution toward accommodating the wealthy.
In Forbes’ latest list of the priciest zip codes, the coastal state took up 12 of the top-25 spots with Atherton, Calif. taking the not-so-coveted number one spot.
For those who aren’t familiar, the city is located in none other than Silicon Valley with an average house price of$10.6 million.
Four of those 12 California locations were situation in Los Angeles County with the city of Los Angeles coming in at 25th with an average house price of $4 million.
The others included Hidden Hills (8th – $5 million), Beverly Hills (14th – $4.6 million) and Santa Monica (17th – $4.2 million).
