Park Inbee easily wins GWAA Player of the Year
Male honour goes to Adam Scott over Tiger Woods
Park Inbee became the second South Korean to be voted the top female golfer for the year by American golf journalists.
The Golf Writers Association of America (GWAA) announced on Thursday that Park received 91 percent of the vote to easily capture Female Player of the Year honors. Shin Ji-yai, in 2009, became the first Korean to win this award.
The 25-year-old Park scripted one of the most compelling golf stories in 2013 by winning the season’s first three majors.
Male Player of the Year honours went to Adam Scott of Australia. Scott, 33, on strength on winning the Masters and Fedex Cup Playoff at The Barclays, received five more votes more than Tiger Woods.
