Billboard charts welcome BTS as band continues hot streak
December 8, 2015
More good news for BTS: The seven-member act has now become the first non-SM or YG Entertainment K-pop artist to break the Billboard 200, at No. 171.
According to Billboard Monday, the band — which released their newest album, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2,” at the end of November — sold 5,000 copies.
The album also ranked No. 98 on Top Album Sales, Billboard said, as well as No. 1 on Heatseekers Albums and World Albums.
The band’s title song, “RUN,” swept domestic charts upon its Nov. 30 release and recorded two million YouTube views in two days.
BTS picked up the World Performer Award at last week’s 2015 MAMA.
