28-year-old Korean American man fatally shot in Koreatown

LOS ANGELES (CNS) — The killer of a Korean American man shot in a possibly gang-related attack in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles remained at large, police said.
The shooting occurred about 9:40 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of S. Gramercy Place and Wilshire Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Peter Yu, 28, died at the scene, according to the LAPD.
According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect, described only as a man in his 20s, walked up the victim, shot him multiple times and fled, the LAPD reported.
