Psy to come back next month…with Snoop Dogg
By Kim Su-mi
Singer Psy is expected to come back in February after filming a music video for his next song this month.
He is busy in his last stage of preparation since the dates for shooting his music video have been confirmed, according to his staff members.
Filming a music video implies that he has already decided on his title songs, costumes and dance.
It is likely that he will surprise his fans with a number of title songs as he will be filming music videos for multiple songs.
A few collabos are expected as he has previously publicized, through Twitter and interviews, that he will be working with other top musicians, posting a picture he took with Snoop Dogg.
The upcoming music video is important for Psy as his fans around the world have been waiting with high expectations. Further, it will decide if he could continue his reign as King of Youtube, given 1.6 billion views for Gangnam Style and 6 billion views for Gentleman.
The number of Youtube views, unlike those of the U.S’s Billboard or i-Tunes, is not biased towards any one country and thus is a measure of international popularity.
Through five successful concerts last year, Psy was able to maintain his title as the king of concert in Korea.
“Gangnam Style and Gentleman have given me overwhelming fame and popularity but I will always try my best and not let down my fans,” said Psy in his last year’s concert at Seoul Olympic Park’s Gymnastics Stadium.
