Choo Shin-soo goes hitless for 2nd straight day
February 28, 2014
Choo Shin-soo is taking his time getting his first hit as a Texas Ranger. He went 0-for-2 for the second straight day.
Choo, 31, started the preseason game as the leadoff hitter and the left-fielder for the Rangers on Friday at Surprise Stadium in Arizona but failed to get a hit. Against Kansas City Royals starter James Shields, Choo hit the fourth pitch, an 84-mile changeup, and grounded out to second. In his second at-bat in the fourth inning, he ended up grounding out to first against the Royals’ third pitcher, Chris Dwyer.
Choo was replaced in fifth inning, and the Rangers went on to lose 11-1.
