Donates $300,000 to Danwon High school
Soccer star Park Chu-young adds another 100K
Actor Kim Soo-hyun donated 300 million won (nearly $300,000) to Danwon High School in Ansan, where classes have resumed. A total of 325 students from Danwon were on a field trip to Jeju Island when the 6,825-ton ferry capsized and sank in waters off the southwestern island of Jindo on April 16.
Korea national football team forward Park Chu-young also donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross, and Park’s fan club is currently collecting funds to aid the effort.
