Actress Kim Yoo-jung wins popularity award in Hong Kong
SEOUL, Dec. 21 (Yonhap) — South Korean actress Kim Yoo-jung has received a popularity award at the Yahoo Asia BUZZ Awards 2016 hosted in Hong Kong.
Kim, who has garnered huge popularity for her latest SBS drama “Love in the Moonlight,” was crowned the most-searched rising actress on Tuesday.
The annual event selects and honors the most influential stars of various segments based on Yahoo search statistics.
“I was able to receive this award thanks to my fans,” the actress said, showing gratitude to her supporters in her acceptance speech.
Kim debuted in 2003 at the age of five, and has starred in various films and series ever since, including her latest movie “Because I Love You” set to reach theaters in January.
The actress is also slated to hold a fan meeting event in Taiwan on Feb. 4.
