Actress Park Jung-ah to marry golfer
SEOUL (Yonhap) — Singer-turned-actress Park Jung-ah will tie the knot with a professional golfer in May, the actress’s talent agency said on Monday.
Park, 35, will marry South Korean golfer Jeon Sang-woo, 33, on May 15.
The two have been dating for the past one year and five months after meeting through a mutual friend, Jellyfish Entertainment said.
Earlier in March, the two celebrities grabbed headlines after they officially confirmed their relationship.
Park said her loving fiance has been a great supporter of her career.
“For the days to come, I will do my best to show more maturity and diversity in my characters, as I continue my career as an actress and a wife,” Park was quoted as saying in the agency’s press release.
Park debuted in 2001 as a member of girl group Jewelry, one of the country’s longest-running music groups that disbanded in January 2015.
After debuting on the small screen as an actress, Park appeared in a series of popular television shows, including KBS 2TV’s “Seoyoung, My Daughter” and tvN’s “Oh My Ghostess.”
Some of her ongoing appearances include MBC television series “Glamorous Temptation” and MBC FM radio show “Park Jung-ah’s Moonlight Garden.”
