Actress Park Shin-hye becomes member of major donors’ club
SEOUL, Nov. 23 (Yonhap) — South Korean actress Park Shin-hye became a member of a major donors’ club run by an international relief and development organization, the NGO said Wednesday.
Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), which aims to raise awareness of poverty and hunger around the world, rewarded the high-profile actress membership to the Philanthropy Club, composed of individual supporters who have donated more than 100 million won (US$85,000).
Park has been a goodwill ambassador of KFHI since 2011 and has been spearheading activities to help children both at home and abroad through “Starlight Angel Project,” named after her fan club.
Lee Eun-young, the CEO of Park’s agency S.A.L.T Entertainment, also joined the club on the same day.
