Ailee returns
K-pop singer Ailee will release her third mini-album next week, titled “Magazine,” her agency YMC Entertainment announced this week. It’s the singer’s first new release since being embroiled in a scandal, in which unauthorized nude photos were leaked online.
The agency tweeted a teaser image for the album which features the singer posing as a clown. The album will be released next Thursday (Sept. 25). A launch event will be held the same day at Chungdam-dong’s Ilzee Art Hall.
“Fans can expect to see a new side of Ailee, a new attractiveness,” YMC said in a release.
YMC will give tickets to 100 fans who answer the question, “Why I need to be at Ailee’s showcase,” at the website www.bugs.co.kr.
Two fans will be chosen to take a photo with the singer.
Also referred to as Korea’s Beyonce, Ailee has become well-known for her performances on the show, “Immortal Song”, where Korean singers perform cover songs on stage.
Ailee has wowed the audience with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” and Yim Jae-bum’s “You.”
She has also appeared as a judge on Mnet’s audition program, Super Star K6.
