Anticipated singer-songwriter Dean makes Korean debut
K-pop has a new power singer-songwriter to watch out for in Dean, whose Korean debut single, “I Love It,” was released this week, according to Universal Music.
The song is produced by B.A.M. (who has previously worked with Chris Brown and Ne-Yo) and featuring Korean rapper Dok2, Yonhap reported.
Korea’s hottest artists are gathering to collaborate with the young singer, from Block B rapper Zico in the upcoming second track “Pour Up” to Zion.T and Crush, with whom Dean will feature in a new Junggigo single later this month.
Dean was a songwriter for Joombas Music, the Los Angeles-based company behind hits like EXO’s “Growl” and Justin Bieber’s “One Less Lonely Girl.”
His American debut earlier this year, headed by “I’m Not Sorry,” saw collaborations with Eric Bellinger, Mila J and Anderson Paak.
