AOA’s Seolhyun named honorary ambassador for S. Korea’s general elections
By The Korea Times Los Angeles staff
As it turns out, an honorary ambassador for South Korea’s general elections is coming to the 14th Korea Times Music Festival to be held on May 7 at Hollywood Bowl of Los Angeles.
According to S. Korea’s election watchdog, Seolhyun of K-pop girl group AOA was named an honorary ambassador for the April 13 general elections on Thursday. The 21-year-old singer will promote the election to increase voter turnout in the lead-up to the polls, the National Election Commission said.
“Seolhyun is beloved by the people as a singer, actress and model,” Kim Yong-hee, secretary-general of the commission said, expressing hope that she will promote the right election culture to the public.
We couldn’t agree more, and that’s why we invited her group to this year’s festival.
