BCD begins to pay out $3 mil in settlement to 600 employees
November 4, 2015
About 600 current and former employees of Korean restaurant chain BCD Tofu House will receive a combined $3 million in settlements after filing a lawsuit against the company for unpaid wages and overtime rates, the law firm handling the case announced Tuesday.
The suit, filed in March of 2013, accused BCD of violating labor laws. The case was taken on by the Law Office of Peter Beck.
According to the firm, about 600 of 1,500 total current and former BCD employees elected to join in on the class-action suit.
They will begin receiving their settlements according to the period worked, the firm said.
BCD operates 12 locations in California, New Jersey and New York.
