Benefit concerts for disabled to bring singer Bada to SoCal
By Christine Ha
This year’s Milal Night in Southern California will see South Korean power vocalist Bada perform in three locations Sept. 18 to 20.
Milal Mission said the concerts will benefit scholarships for those with physical and developmental disabilities.
Bada, who is also an award-winning musical actress, debuted in 1997 as the leader and lead singer of S.E.S., modern K-pop’s first successful girl group. Her solo career has seen the release of four studio albums.
Bada will tell her own story of overcoming hardship at the concert to give reassurance and comfort to the young Korean community, Milal Mission said.
Since its beginning in 2001, Milal Mission has given about $1.8 million in scholarships.
