[HOT LINKS] Suarez made 167 bettors happy with his teeth
June 26, 2014
[ESPN] The odds were 175 to 1 that Uruguay’s Luis Suarez would bite somebody during the World Cup, and Suarez actually made 167 people pretty happy on Tuesday.
Andreas Bardun, sportsbook manager for gambling site Betsson said 167 gamblers placed bets on the prop, and the biggest winner was a Norwegian who won $3,300.
In the United States, others were getting in on the fun.
The Fort Worth Vaqueros, a minor league soccer team that plays in the National Premier Soccer League, announced Wednesday that it will hand out free Suarez “fangs” to the first 50 fans to its match Sunday.
Well, South Korea actually has a professional volleyball team called the Blue Fangs, and perhaps they might come up with some ideas.
