Big Bang to kick off North American tour in October
K-pop top dogs Big Bang will have their first North American tour in three years come October, YG Entertainment announced Thursday.
The five-member band will kick off in Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay Events Center) on Oct. 2 before heading to Los Angeles (Staples Center), Anaheim (Honda Center), New Jersey (Prudential Center) and Toronto (Air Canada Centre), Yonhap reported.
Big Bang, which released their first new single in three years at the beginning of May in preparation for a full studio album in September, is currently performing a world tour.
Their last U.S. appearance was Nov. 2012, chosen by New York Times critic Jon Caramanica as one of the Best Concerts of 2012.
YG said Big Bang is now the first K-pop boy band to have a second North American tour.
The band’s new singles “Loser” and “Bae Bae” topped charts upon their May 1 release; they are expected to drop new singles at the beginning of June, July and August before the full album, “Make,” releases in September.
