Big Bang’s Seungri was speeding, police say
Big Bang’s Seungri was driving over the speed limit in regards to his Sept. 12 car accident and will see his case sent to the prosecutor’s office, Seoul Yongsan police said Tuesday.
The 23-year-old singer, whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, was going 100 to 110 kilometers per hour in an area marked for 80 kilometers per hour, Yonhap reported.
Police investigated Lee as a special case concerning the settlement of traffic accidents and will send his charge to the prosecutor’s office.
Lee admitted to speeding during the investigation, police said.
On Sept. 12 around 3:36 a.m., Lee hit another vehicle traveling in the same direction on Gangbyeon Expressway. His car overturned and hit a guard rail, while the other vehicle’s two passengers obtained minor injuries.
Lee was later admitted into the hospital for two weeks for minor bleeding in his liver.
