BIGBANG finishes up Japan tour for 4th straight year
SEOUL, Dec. 30 (Yonhap) — South Korean boy band BIGBANG finished its latest tour in Japan, emerging as the first non-Japanese band to throw the event for four years straight.
The five-member act wrapped up “BIGBANG10 THE CONCERT: 0.TO.10 FINAL” in Kyosera Dome in Osaka on Thursday, the band’s agency YG Entertainment said in a press release.
The Japan tour, which began in November, drew some 781,500 viewers.
“Tonight is another great memory to take with me. Thank you for always standing by us,” said BIGBANG’s rapper T.O.P as the concert drew to an end. “We may be apart for some time, but it will only make our ties stronger. I will miss you so much, take care till we meet again.”
T.O.P is slated to serve his compulsory two-year military service in South Korea, starting Feb. 9.
In addition to the Japan tour, BIGBANG’s third and latest full-length album “MADE THE FULL ALBUM” is enjoying unwavering popularity at home.
Released on Dec. 13, the LP has remained in the top spot on the mainstream music charts at home for 12 consecutive days.
