BIGBANG’s latest album ranks on six Billboard charts 2016/12/21 14:57
SEOUL, Dec. 21 (Yonhap) — South Korean boy band BIGBANG has ranked on six Billboard charts with its third and latest LP “MADE the Full Album,” the group’s management agency said Wednesday.
The 10-year veterans’ full-length album has been riding a huge wave of popularity overseas, taking the top spot on the World Albums/Artist chart, according to YG Entertainment.
The album also hit No. 1 on the nationwide Heatseekers Albums chart and on the regional charts of the same name in the Middle Atlantic, Northeast, Pacific and West North Central regions of the United States. The chart tracks the week’s top-selling albums by up-and-coming acts whose album hasn’t placed in the top 100 of the Billboard 200.
Moreover, the five-member band took 172nd place on the Billboard 200, garnering much attention from the public. This marks the group’s second time to land on the prestigious list after their EP “Alive” four years ago.
On the World Digital Song Sales chart, the tracks “Fxxk It,” “Last Dance” and “Girlfriend” off the studio album swept second, third and fourth place respectively.
