BLACKPINK’s ‘Whistle’ draws over 300 mln YouTube views
SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Yonhap) — BLACKPINK’s debut single “Whistle” exceeded 300 million YouTube views on Friday, the girl band’s fifth song to top the mark, its management agency said.
The 2016 song’s music video hit the milestone of 300 million YouTube views Friday morning, YG Entertainment said.
It is BLACKPINK’s fifth song to have surpassed the mark in about two years since their debut in 2016, including their 2018 song “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” which topped 500 million views.
“Whistle” was one of BLACKPINK’s two debut singles. The other single, “Boombayah,” has garnered more than 400 million YouTube views so far.
