BTS’ Jungkook suffers heel injury
SEOUL, Oct. 10 (Yonhap) — Jungkook, a member of South Korean boy group BTS, sustained a heel injury hours before the group’s London show, his agency said Wednesday.
“Approximately two hours ago, following the rehearsal and sound check, Jungkook was lightly stretching in the waiting room when he collided with floor furnishings and suffered an injury to his heel,” Big Hit Entertainment said on its SNS accounts early in the morning.
The member had to perform while seated at the London show on Tuesday (local time) because of the injury, the agency said.
“Medical staff immediately responded and performed the necessary treatment. The opinion of the medical team is that while the injury is not serious, performing choreography may do further damage to the injured area.”
“Following the advice of medical staff, Jungkook will take part in the performance tonight but remain seated without choreography,” the message said.
The London concert was part of the group’s world tour titled Love Yourself. The group will perform one more time in London on Wednesday.
