SEOUL, (Yonhap) — The Hollywood superhero film “Captain America: Civil War” attracted more than 800,000 moviegoers to local theaters on Children’s Day, data showed Friday.
The film represented 65.8 percent of tickets sold across the country on Thursday, adding 885,293 viewers to its domestic total of 5.75 million, according to the computerized box office tally from the Korean Film Council.
It took only nine days for the film to reach the total, which is faster than the 2015 hit “Avengers: Age of Ultron” that amassed 5.43 million viewers in nine days of run.
