Chella Choi becomes the first Korean to win William and Mousie Powell Award

For ‘behavior and deeds best exemplifies the spirit, ideals and values of the LPGA’
LPGA Tour player Choi Woon-jung (최운정), 24, better known as Chella Choi in the U.S., was honored with the William and Mousie Powell Award, which is given to the player “whose behavior and deeds best exemplifies the spirit, ideals and values of the LPGA.”
Choi is the first ever South Korean and the second ever Asian player to win the award since its introduction in 1986.
Although she has yet to win an event, she shares the title with LPGA elite such as Nancy Lopez, Betsy King and Lorena Ochoa.
